SOLDANO LUCKY 13 GUITAR AMPLIFIER MANUAL
Congratulations on your purchase of the Soldano Lucky 13! The Lucky 13 is a hand-built, all-tube guitar amplifier designed to produce a lifetime of quality guitar sounds. The Lucky 13 is built with top quality components and housed in a 16-gauge steel chassis to provide you with a rugged, roadworthy piece of musical equipment.
Getting Started: Start by connecting the Lucky 13 guitar amp to a speaker cabinet using a high quality speaker cable. If you are using a 16-ohm cabinet, connect it to the 16-ohm jack on the Lucky 13. If you are using an 8-ohm cabinet, connect it to the 8-ohm jack. Two 16-ohm cabinets can be plugged into the two 8-ohm jacks on the amplifier. Next, attach the power cord to the back panel on the Lucky 13 and plug it into a 3-prong, grounded wall outlet. Now, connect the Footswitch to the Footswitch Jack on the back of the amplifier using either a guitar cable or speaker cable.
Set the Volume and the Reverb Controls for both channels to ‘0’ and turn all of the other controls to their 12 o’clock (straight up) position. Flip the Power Switch to the ‘On’ position and let the amplifier warm up for thirty seconds. Now, connect your guitar to the Lucky 13’s Input Jack, flip the Standby Switch to the ‘On’ position, and get ready to rock!
The Clean Channel: The Clean Channel of the Lucky 13 is a beautifully voiced, vintage, super clean tone. The amp has a non-master volume circuit designed to give you an uncompromised clean sound. Use the Footswitch to change to the Clean Channel (the footswitch light will be off). Just as in a vintage non-master volume amp, this channel is designed to begin to break up at extreme volume settings.
The Overdrive Channel: Using the Footswitch, switch to the Overdrive Channel (the red light on the Footswitch will turn on).
You’ll find that the Lucky is an extremely versatile amplifier.
Soldano products have a lifetime warranty on workmanship (the
SLO-100 warranty is transferable). Parts and labor are
warranted for ten years (excluding tubes, transformers, damage,
and normal wear and tear).
WARNING: NEVER OPERATE THIS
GUITAR AMPLIFIER WITHOUT SPEAKER(S) OR A SUITABLE “DUMMY LOAD”
PLUGGED INTO THE SPEAKER JACK(S).
